Inter are very close to agreeing a deal with Atletico Madrid's defender Diego Godin. The Uruguayan defender, who will be out of his contract in June, will leave the Colchoneros next summer and a deal between all parties seems imminent.
Godin and Inter have reached an agreement in priciple on the basis of a 2 year deal, plus an option to extend the contract for an additional year. Talks between parties are ongoing to discuss the final details but the deal is very close to a positive conclusion, with medicals set to be planned in the next few weeks after which he will pen his new contract with the Nerazzurri.
