Marcelo Brozovic has returned to Milan. The Croatian football federation made the following announcement on their official site: "Marcelo Brozovic, who tested positive for Covid yesterday, is isolated from the rest of the national team and will return to Milan on a private plane today."
The Inter midfielder, as well as a staff member, tested positive prior to Croatia's Nations League match tonight against Sweden. This result was feared by the nerazzurri from the moment the class if '92 player posted a photo on social media that portrayed him being embraced in Vida. He was substituted at halftime of the Turkey match, once it was discovered that his test had returned positive.
Brozovic will now complete his isolation period in Milan, rather than in Sweden where his Croatian teammates currently are.
