Despite the difficulties they will face in terms of costs as well as beating the competition from other clubs, Inter have decided to go forward with negotiations for Palmeiras young starlet Gabriel Jesus. The youngster, born in 1997, scored 11 goals in 14 matches this past season for Palmeiras and has been tracked by Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona as he is considered to be one of the biggest up and coming players in the world.
The negotiations will be rather tricky also due to the fact that Palmeiras own 30% of the player's rights whilst the remaining 70% is controlled by a group of Brazilian entrepreneurs. Also, the player has a clause in his contract that identifies 5 clubs that can buy him at a discounted price, Real Madrid and Barcelona being one of the 5 mentioned explicitly. And Inter? The Nerazzurri aren't in the list so therefore it is impossible to know precisely what he will cost, it will all depend on how the negotiations go with each of the parties that own the player's rights.
Gabriel Jesus himself is yet to decide what he thinks is the best step to take next for his career. He knows that he has two options, the first being to sign for an important club where he would be able to play regularly like Inter, or to move to a huge club where the competition is fierce and where he would not feature as often. The player has meetings scheduled with the agents of all parties involved to make a very important decision.
