With the end of the Japanese championship, Andrès Iniesta returned to Spain, specifically Barcelona, where he left his heart and his companions after several years with the club. In an exclusive interview to Mundo Deportivo, he spoke on the present and future.
"Football is very different here. It has surprised me pleasantly as I have found some opponents that make me play at the highest level. Here, everyone has a different concept of football, there are many switches of play from one side to the other and many counter-attacks. Little is played in the middle of the field". His adventure at Vissel Kobe is therefore involving him to give his all and this will soon be shared with an old teammate, one David Villa: "He wanted a change. This year we will start from scratch. He will contribute to the objectives of the team with the quality he has and will be an advantage for the team".
Currently, Inesta is in Barcelona where he met his former teammates. The possibility of even returning to manage the club one day exists: "I would not say I would not like to be a Barça coach, but for now, I can not say I am thinking of something like that. It is true that with time, I see myself more and more as a coach, but we will see what will be left on my path once I have finished playing football. What is certain is that I would like to come back to Spain, where I feel at home. In the future, I hope to pass on what I have learned at this club".
