Adeu, Don Andrés. His farewell to Barcelona is now real as during the conference press, Iniesta declared in tears: "This conference is about making public the decision to live my last season here: it's a decision I've thought a lot about with my family. I've understood, after 22 years, what it means playing in that team which is the best for me in the world. This club has welcomed me at 12 and deserves the best from me as I did until now. I understood that in the coming future I couldn't give my best in the physical or mental levels. If I had to imagine how to conclude my journey here it would be like this, in the best way, with the ability to win titles and with positive feelings".
"It's a very complicated day for me, I've lived all my life here and saying farewell to my home isn't easy: I understand that with the time passing, it's the right thing to do. I wanted to thank the club and the Masia, I'm the player and the person I am today mostly thanks to them. Thanks to my teammates, who have shared these years with me and made me improved day after day. To all the fans that have shown an amazing affection, to my parents, my sister. 22 years ago we arrived here by car and now they're here with me. To conclude, thanks to all the culé that have seen me growing day after day. Every one of you has made me improve both in sportive and personal levels.
