There are just three days left in the transfer window and Mauro Icardi’s future has yet to be decided. Monaco are the only team currently taking concrete steps to acquire him, Napoli have gone for Fernando Llorente, Juventus have yet to take any action and Atletico Madrid made a simple iniquity. The striker is deciding if he’ll accept Monaco’s proposal, but he seems to be more interested in joining them on loan rather than on a permanent move.
Should he opt for the loan formula, it remains to be seen if he would also extend his contract with Inter, an option that is viewed positively by the nerazzurri. Icardi on the other hand would prefer not to extend his contract so they would need to find a solution if he agrees to join Monaco, which at the moment is the only option available.
