Up until a few weeks ago, Eden Hazard felt like he was the best player in the world, but this seems to have recently changed. When speaking to the newspaper RTBF, the Belgian asserted that he dd not deserve the Ballon d'Or, an annual award recognizing the world's best player.
"I've played a good year, but I'm not convinced that I deserve the Ballon d'Or. There are players who have done much better than I have. Winning this award has never been a goal for me. If I win it one day, I'd be happy, but it certainly won't be a problem if I do not ever win it. Who'd get my vote? Until recently I would have said Luka Modric, but he has not played as well after the summer and World Cup. Therefore, considering his play in this current season, I'd have to say Kylian Mbappè.
