Just like his football, Pep Guardiola is entertaining when he takes to the microphone at a press conference. While attending a summit at the university in Liverpool, the Manchester City manager surprised those in attendance when he said “I’d have more time for golf” when asked about potentially managing a national team.
While many laughs upon hearing this, Guardiola was serious, he added: “I love my job because it allows me to travel which is something fantastic. Before I didn’t understand German while now I know it, my family didn’t know English and now we all speak it. The career of a footballer is too short, I suggest to anyone who can to travel a lot. This is why I love my job: by managing a national team I could always discover something new”
