Giovanni Simeone:"My father is happy in Madrid, my phrase on Inter was manipulated"

Since arriving last summer at Genoa, Giovanni Simeone has made a name for himself in Serie A with his goals. Of course when your last name is Simeone it's hard not to also think about Diego who manages Atletico Madrid, Giovanni talked about the elationship with his father in an interview to Gazzetta dello Sport:"The first thing he taught me is that in football the only thing you can't negotiate is effort, we grew up like this, the only focus is the next match. It's a good thing because you know the future only depends on yourself and tough because you can't enjoy things for long. After the goal against Juventus I was already thinking about the next match. I've been a Simeone since I was born but my father was never an imposing figure in my life. Now that I live in Genova and he in Madrid I feel him even closer. We talk often and he gives me advice.
