Genoa have already started to work in order to bolster Prandelli's squad in the January transfer window.
The Rossoblu are scouting several players in different positions, including wing-back and centre-midfielder. For the wing, Genoa have set their sights on Monaco's Antonio Barreca, who is struggling to get some playing time in Ligue 1. Anyways, the good performances provided by Lazovic so far could lead the club to consider other targets, like Pawel Jaroszynski from Chievo, also in the radar of the Grifone.
For the midfield, the first name on Preziosi's list is Stefano Sturaro, currently on loan to Sporting CP from Juventus. The Rossoblu, that already tried to bring Sturaro back to Genoa in the summer, are evaluating the physical condition of the 1993-born player, who is yet to make an apperance this season due to an injury. An alternative to Sturaro could be another Chievo player, Ivan Radovanovic, should the Veronesi show themselves open to let the Serbian leave the club.
On the possible departures front, Genoa are in talks with Napoli over the young Ivorian striker Christian Kouamé. Preziosi's plan would be to sell the player now to De Laurentiis' club and then keep him on loan to Genoa until the end of the season. The two clubs are discussing over the figures of the deal and Napoli have also made an initial contact with the 21-year-old striker's agent.
