Genoa, Romero set to sign contract extension through 2023

Argentinian defender Cristian Romero is set to extend his contract with Genoa until 2023. The former Belgrano centre-back - eyed by many big clubs and especially Juventus - has already signed the one-year extensions with Genoa, as the previous deal was set to run untile June 2022. In his first season in Serie A, Romero has impressed his coaches and the other club's scouts, thanks to his outstanding defensive qualities. The official announcement of the contract extension is expected to be released in the coming hours.
