Coming and going. Romero, who signed a five year deal yesterday with Juventus, has now found an agreement with Genoa: loan for one year. The player himself pushed for the operation with the rossoblù to close, not taken into consideration other options (like Atalanta, for example). He chose to remain in Genova for the relationship created with the club, the fans, and to pay them back for a bad past year. The defender has left for the Neustif retreat where he will arrive late in the afternoon.
The sale of Romero will include a payment from Genoa of 10% for the resale to Belgrano, the club where the defender arrived from, which will be around 2.5 million euros. Genoa remains interested in Amione, which manifested a few weeks ago. It's difficult to think about bringing the defender for this market session in Italy, as there are a few problems with the passport. It's more likely that Genoa will wait until he becomes an adult in January (he's born January 3, 2002). Also, the agreement between the clubs need to be found: Genoa's offer of 4.5 million euros, 2 fixed and 2.5 of bonus, still has not been accepted and the player's entourage and Belgrano will meet next week to understand how to proceed. The goal of Genoa is to continue with the talks to bring to Italy a player that they consider the new Romero.
