Macedonian striker Goran Pandev is ready to meet again his former coach Gian Piero Gasperini as Genoa face Atalanta in tonight's Serie A clash. "He wanted me when I was at Galatasaray - says Pandev to La Gazzetta dello Sport - but the deal didn't go trough because Genoa didn't have any free slot left for extra-UE players. But in the summer window we managed to finalize the transfer. I had also other offers but I had given my word and I wanted to keep it". The experienced striker discussed also the club's newest signing Giuseppe Rossi and the Scudetto race: "Rossi has still a lot to offer to the team, we are waiting for him with open arms. He is a great player. Scudetto? Inter have the advantage given by not playing European cups. Lazio is a surprise, but only to people who didn't know Inzaghi. Napoli is going through a rough time but they play the best football in Serie A. I know how the city craves for the Scudetto and only for that they would deserve to win it".
