Genoa is progressing in its pursuit of Rennes forward Mbaye Niang. Genoa are targeting Niang as the replacement for Scamacca. Niang, who previously wore the rossoblù for six months in 2015, also has played for Milan and Torino in Serie A. If a deal is completed then Scamacca's departure could be unlocked.
