The derby has been the last game of Ivan Juric as Genoa's coach. The club has in fact decided to sack the Croatian and to replace him with Davide Ballardini. Talks are ongoing between the club and the Italian coach and the final agreement is set to be reached. The Italian coach already managed once to save the Rossoblù from relegation, in 2013.
