After bringing in reinforcement such as Perin and Destro, Genoa are looking to bolster their midfield with former Aston Villa player Birkir Bjarnason. The agents of the 31-year old are working on the details of a 18-month contract with the Rossoblu.
The Icelandic midfielder, who currently is a free agent, wants to play in Serie A in order to get a spot for this summer's Euro with his national team. Today the sides will hold a meeting to discuss the final details of the deal, while the player could arrive to Italy this weekend in order to follow the ongoing negotiations.
