Genoa, Bertolacci: "Ballardini made us smile again. We now feel more like a team with him and it's making the difference"

Big enthusiasm for the Verona victory that got the crisis a bit away and before a game against former coach Gasperini: Ballardini's new Genoa keeps on working for their next game at the Marassi stadium and wish to get the three points again in front of their fans to get some continuity after they made seven points in three league matches.

Bertolacci's words at the Gaslini Pediatric Institute, where the rossoblù players and staff got this morning for the Christmas wishes to the little patients of the hospital: "Our objective is to bring some smiles to less lucky people than we are. We've brought our energy, we wish this Christmas could be a good one also for them. Some time we don't realize how lucky we are, health is the most important thing. They teach us to fight like they do every day".

About Genoa's current form: "In these three very difficult games we've had 7 points, we got to smile again. We now have another difficult game at home, we must keep going like this. Ballardini? I don't know, he's given us serenity and determination. We've become a team, we help each other more and it's making the difference. Challenge against Gasperini? I like it, I've got a great relationship with him. He's been important to me, he made me start and it will nice seeing him again. We hope to win though. I knew that he would have done well with Atalanta but he's creating something even bigger. I supported Atalanta yesterday, hoping they would get a bit tired. His teams are always well physically prepared though. Gasperini and Ballardini have both been important for me to grow, they'e given something more. They're very different, have different playing style opinions. Goals? It's another one of my objectives, but I'm currently thinking about helping the team and keep on winning".
