The expedition of Cristiano Giuntoli to Madrid has come to an end and now Napoli's sporting director is on his way to the retreat in Dimaro. During his trip to Spain, Giuntoli held contacts with James Rodriguez's agent Jorge Mendes, in order to discuss a possible deal. Napoli reitared their desire to sign the Colombian midfielder, who is not in the squad list for Real Madrid's tournée to Canada, on the basis of a loan with an option to buy, with Mendes still working to persuade the Spanish club to accept this transfer formula.
On the midfielder front, the Partenopei's top target is Elmas from Fenerbahce. The clubs are trying to find an agreement on the transfer of the 20-year-old Macedonian as Napoli are offering €13 million plus bonuses, while the Turk club's asking price is set at €20 million. The sale of Rog, pursued by Genoa and Cagliari and expected for next week, could fuel their pursuit of the Macedonian midielder.
