Today Fortuna Düsseldorf announced that they redeemed the rights to David Kownacki. The German club had reached an agreement to acquire him on loan with an option to buy that would vest after his fourth match this season, which happened yesterday during the game against Borussia Monchengladbach. The Polish striker will be under contract through June 2023.
