From Kownacki to Ferreyra, all of the European clubs are working to improve over the January window. The German squad Fortuna Düsseldorf has been particularly active and is looking to complete some important deals to strengthen their defense before concentrating on their attack and "italian" targets. Lutz Pfannentstiel, the new sporting director, is working on two particular profiles, both of which are in the advanced stages. The first is Oussama Haddadi, a left-back for Digione, and is close to a transfer. Düsseldorf is also targeting the central defender Jeffrey Bruma from Wolfsburg, who could arrive on a loan with the right to buy.
The German squad is also looking into Sampdoria attacker Kownacki, and discussions to acquire the player, who is also being considered by Empoli, on loan have already begun. The dream, however, is to acquire Benefica's Facundo Ferreyra, who had been associated with Italian clubs before. Ferreyra is also rumored to go to Nice and replace Balotelli.
