Despite receiving offers from Al-Sailiya, Red Star Belgrade and Fenerbahce, striker Federico Macheda decided to stay in Greece and sign a contract extension with Panathinaikos.
The Greek club and the former Manchester United striker have in fact reached an agreement over a three-year extension worth €1 million per season. The 29-year-old has quickly become a key player to the club and the fans, thanks to his excellent performances - with 15 goals scored last season - in the Greek league.
