With Gennaro Gattuso no longer occupying their bench, Fiorentina are looking for a replacement, working currently on getting Vincenzo Italiano for the role. Spezia doesn't want to lose out completely and is expecting a payment of damages to let him leave of €1.78 million net.
Fiorentina and Spezia, both under American ownership, will hope their good relations ease negotiations. Fiorentina will look to have a smooth exit for Italiano, looking for compromise between the clubs.
The search for reinforcements on the field continues too, the club is looking at fullback and eyeing Davide Zappacosta. Fiorentina are hoping that the Chelsea player isn't the subject of bids from bigger teams and they can sign him. Inter are also interested, he could beocme a piece added to a deal for Hakimi. Fiorentina want to invest in the position with Lirola possibly leaving for Marseille or Atalanta.
The deal has been completed for Nicolas Gonzalez, the Argentine will become the club's record signing. The fee to Stuttgart is €23 million plus €4 million bonus. The documents have been signed and Gonzalez will take his medical next week in Argentina.
