After a ten year absence, Cesare Prandelli is returning to Fiorentina. Today the former Azzurri manager was introduced as the Tuscan club's new manager following the decision to sack Beppe Iachini, Prandelli opened the press conference by mentioning his predecessor:"I really like him from human aspect, I never imagined I would replace him. We saw each other at the training facility, we were embarrassed. That being said, I see a united and determined ownership group. We can start a significant project, on and off the pitch"
Prandelli has always had a close bond to Fiorentina:"In the past fifteen years I have always thought about this club. In the past two seasons, I got season tickets to follow the team. If you take away romanticism, life becomes boring. You must live of emotions and sentiments. The love I have for this club is profound, I didn't put any conditions to return, I just want to be of service. I have double responsibility as fan and manager"
