Stefano Pioli spoke to the press prior to Fiorentina's Coppa Italia match against Atalanta, as they hope to win the tournament and raise the trophy.
"We have it in our heads like all our opponents. It's never happened in a while that none of the top 3 teams in the standings made the semifinals. We've already fought at even strength against Atalanta and tomorrow we want to try and give ourselves an advantage in the return leg because we're not made to make too many calculations. We need to understand that we need to play our best for 95 minutes. We mustn't just push ourselves forward by chance, but bring forward our style of play, defending and attacking all together. We mustn't make calculations in sight of the return leg, we're made to play the game and not suffer from it."
Pioli also spoke on the VAR controversy from his team's match against Inter. "Its use shouldn't be put into discussion. Without VAR there would be many more errors. It's help that we really wanted. There are errors that will go accepted like they had been accepted before. It's always the quality of the referee that makes the difference."
