After the home win against Atalanta, Stefano Pioli has talked about the good moment his Fiorentina is living as they're not losing home while having a bit more problems when playing away. There has to be said the away games have been more difficult encounters though. From yesterday's game and Chiesa's growth to Fiorentina's future, here are the coach's interview to Radio Anch'io:

"Lafont? He's adapting well to the Italian league. It's true yesterday he's been a bit criticized for some missed interventions, but to me he's doing well and he's putting his playing time to good use. The penalty on Chiesa? I think VAR needs to be used when the error is evident. I protested at Milan for this, if it wasn't used by the referee and his assistants it means the penalty was obvious from the beginning and they didn't need VAR. Are we playing better home than away? Against Samp and Inter we've played as well as our opponents. We've played good matches, I think we only got tired and haven't done well against Napoli. Obviously, we'd like to do better when playing away.

Chiesa? He's young and I think he'll grow a lot because he's got a champion's stats and potential. I have something to say about him though: he's a nice boy, always looking for a 1v1 and gets a lot of hits, he doesn't simulate. I didn't like the fact Gasperini talked about him with these words. I don't talk about the other coaches' players. I don't know if we could finish fourth. Yesterday's win has proven we could have a great season. From there to saying we could finish at the fourth position or in Champions League is hard to say because there are still so many important challenges and tests. I think we'll go back there though. Last year we've started a new cycle that is a project for the future: we're aiming for the top positions and have renewed after the Prandelli, Montella and Sosa years. I think in 2 to 3 years, we'll aim to big objectives with this group, but we still have to grow for the moment".
