As a result of his sending off from Fiorentina's defeat to Parma, the sporting judge has ruled that coach Vincenzo Montella will be suspended from the crucial match for safety against Genoa. Montella receives a two-match ban, with the justification: "during the 48' of the second half, with threatning and intimdating behavior, demonstrated vulgar expressions three times to the Officials, and for punching an advertising board that fell causing minor injuries to a steward." Montella's assistant Nicola Caccia was also suspended for protesting the referee's decision to the fourth official.

The other suspensions for Serie A's final round: three matches to Federico Barba of Chievo (offensive gesture towards the match official), and one match each to  Federico Bernardeschi and Blaise Matuidi (Juventus), Giuseppe Pezzella and Marvin Zeegelaar (Udinese), Joaquin Correa (Lazio), Hans Hateboer (Atalanta), Kalidou Koulibaly and Allan (Napoli), and Mariusz Stepinski (Chievo Verona).
