The new Fiorentina is starting to take shape. Vincenzo Montella has arrived in New York City to meet with new owner Rocco Commisso, the two had spoken on the phone multiple times. The summit in the Big Apple isn’t to decide if Montella will stay on board since he has already been confirmed, but rather to get to know each other and discuss some potential transfer moves.
There are reports that Montella’s confirmation as Fiorentina’s manager will be announced in style with images being broadcast in iconic Times Square. There’s also a dinner planned with the New York based Fiorentina club which will feature the manager and new owner.
