Fiorentina has taken a suprise turn in the January window, making a strong push to sign Genoa's Christian Kouamé. The 22-year-old striker is currently sidelined with an ACL tear suffered last November. La Viola will meet shortly with Genoa to look for a total agreement: there is a good chance the deal will succeed, as all signs are pointing to completion. Fiorentina want to secure the young attacker and beat out competition, even as the player has been almost certainly ruled out through May. Fiorentina will perform their own evaluations on Kouamé's condititon and recovery.
Commisso's club also are working on bringing Alfred Duncan to Florence: a meeting is set in the next few hours to try to finalize the details on a deal with Sassuolo. There is a €2m difference between offer and asking price, and today's face-to-face meeting could overcome that barrier.
