Fiorentina are stepping up their interest in Hellas Verona's midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, as they want to jump ahead of Napoli - another competitor for the Moroccan player. Today Fiorentina and Verona held a meeting to discuss a potential move and the Viola made their first offer, which is however lower than the €20 million bid submitted by Napoli.
Fiorentina are pushing to sign the player, who was already persuaded by the club's plan for the future. Now the player and his agents will have to make a decision. They could either reopen the talks with Napoli and accept their offer or wait for an improved bid from Fiorentina to Hellas Verona. In any case, Amrabat will remain to Hellas until the end of the season as he can't play for a third club in the same season after having made appearances for Club Brugge and Verona.
