Gerson's adventure with his new club Fiorentina couldn't be off to a batter start. His team have in fact won both of their Serie A matches and the Brazilian even scored on his debut in the trashing 6-1 win against Chievo. The midfielder on loan from Roma discussed this new chapter of his career in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport: "Some people said that I didn't want to come here and that I asked Roma to end the negotiations with Fiorentina. That's false, I am happy here. My position on the pitch? I love playing in the midfield, my role models are Modric and Kroos. But my childhood hero was Robinho, he had crazy skills".
"We can reach Europa League, we are a strong team. This club and Pioli have faith in me, I can feel it. I know that I can go back to Roma [at the end of the season], but right now I want to do my best for this club. I have to play well here to earn the national team, it's a dream of mine", concluded Gerson.
