Borja Valero released a long interview regarding his career, a career that is proving succeful even at Fiorentina, the club that signed him for little over 7 million from Villareal in 2012. After 4 years Borja Valero has become an idol and a leader for the fans of la viola. Speaking to la Gazzetta Dello Sport this is what he had to say about the differences between Italy and England as well as a backstory from the summer mercato:

"Fans in England are phenomenal. When I used to play for West Brom and we got relegated, at the end of the match they wanted us to walk around the pitch so they could applaud us. Here or in Spain it would have never happened. We would need a mix because Spanish football is more elegant, here its more tactical. Roma? I don't know if the train ever really passed by this summer. In any case I was lucky cause I had the leisure of making my own choice, I didn't want to listen to any offers. Winning still interests me although I know its hard to beat out clubs that are wealthier. Starting from Napoli although it won't be easy as they have champs like Mertens and Callejon".
