Fiorentina are continuing to work on future additions to their squad. After officially signing Arthur Cabral, la Viola are also in talks with Penarol to buy Agustin Alvarez.
After the first offer of around €13 million and a new one made today, the sides have yet to find an agreement. The 2001-born Alvarez has a realase clause of €17 million, and on Monday the Uruguayan club will send a counter-offer to Fiorentina.
Fiorentina and the player have already agreed to a five-year contract for the attacker who scored 31 goals, the highest total for a U21 player in South America.
Should an agreemenet be reached, the deal would become official in June, with Alvarez remaining in Uruguay for another six months.
