Footballers' Association's president Damiano Tommasi has been indicated by many people as the suitable candidate for the FICG presidency. "I'm glad that so many people think of me as the right man for the change - said Tommasi in an interview with Corriere della Sera - I have talked with the Association about this possibility, but it's not up to me. There are also many other ex-footballers who could do it. I'd say that it's too soon, there are more pressing matters like the programme for Italian football's change. We need facts, not only words". Tommasi disccussed also Tavecchio's work: "He handled very badly the situation after the game against Sweden. He should have been brave and gone in the press room after that game. Politically, he only cared about getting the majority".
