FC Basel makes progress in negotiation for Doumbia

Seydou Doumbia never settled in at Roma, and after his recent loan spells to CSKA Moscow and Newcastle he could be leaving once again. The striker wants to sign with Basel at all costs, and progress is being made to complete the deal with the Swiss club. Basel would pay €2 million for the loan while also paying all of Doumbia's wages, the only thing left to determine is the amount of the option to buy.
