Sassuolo are making progress in their pursuit of a new defender for De Zerbi's defense. The neroverdi are in fact in the closing stages of the new negotiation to sign Fortuna Dusseldorf's Kaan Ayhan, a Turkish internationsl with 28 caps for his national team who also has a German passport.
The 25 year old defender was previously linked to Atalanta, during the recent season he appeared in 31 games and had three assists to go with two goals. The deal is expected to be reached for €1.5 million.
