Inter defender Stefan De Vrij made his mark in the nerazzurri's Derby win over Milan on Sunday, scoring the third goal to complete the team's comeback after falling down 0-2 after the first half. The win brought Inter into a first place tie with Juventus, and the player spoke with AD Sportwerald after the match.
"It was an amazing comeback in a marvelous environment. When Candreva's excellent cross arrived, I dove toward the ball and then turned to understand the direction it was going. When I saw it in the net it was a beautiful sensation. I will always remember this goal also because it wiped away the nightmare of starting down 0-2 after the first half."
On the upcoming match against Lazio, for whom he played for from 2014-2018: "Three of us are fighting for the title and matches like the one Sunday in Rome are the ones that a player always wants to play. We are convinced of our strength, you aren't able to comeback in a match like a derby if you are not strong. We need to demonstrate that every week and we're already concentrated on the next matches, starting with the Coppa Italia match against Napoli."
