Eldor Shomurodov is very close to joining Genoa. Rostov, the club that currently owns the player, announced that an agreement has been found with Preziosi's club for the transfer.
"Thanks for everything, Eldor," announced Rostov via a note, "We are grateful to Eldor for his dedication, his objectives and the contribution he gave to the team's success."
Shortly after, Rostov's president Artashes Harutyunyants made this comment: "After long negotiations, we accepted Genoa's offer. I am sure that Eldor will make a great trip through the European football world."
Now, all that's missing is the player's arrival in Italy and signing his contract that will begin his Genoa experience. He will be the second person from Uzbekistan to play in Serie A after Ilyos Zeytullaev, who played in Serie B also with Genoa.
In the meantime, the rossoblù has sold attacker Claudio Spinelli to Slovenian club Koper on loan after spending last season with Gimnasia La Plata.
