The Juventus attacker and Leo Messi play the same position on the pitch, make the same movements and seem almost incompatible playing with each other. In an Argentina defined by the play of Barça's number 10, finding room to play in the Joya will not be easy. While interviewing during a press conference, however, Paulo seemed assured of himself: "I'm not playing because of what I had said? No, I don't think that's why. Both Sampaoli and Leo understood what I meant."
Their shared characteristics, the same position and perhaps even the same strong left foot, make the two players very -- perhaps too much, in the case of Argentina -- similar: "All of this does not make me Leo's substitute, also because nobody substitutes Leo, not here, nor at Barcelona. That's not to say we cannot play together or that we cannot find a scheme that allows us to play well together. Maybe through the intensity of training and playing together, we'll find the right understanding."
