With Miralem Pjanic on his way to Juventus, Roma is looking for his replacement in the midfield. Director Walter Sabatini's top choice is Georginio Wijnaldum: but so far there is distance between the giallorossi's offer and Newcastle's demands. At the moment the English club is asking for 30 million pounds for the former PSV player- in addition to Roma there are some English coub's interested in acquiring him. Wijnaldum is coming off an excellent season in which he scored 11 goals, and while Newcastle was relegated, the club is financially strong and do not need to sell their players cheaply. Roma will work on getting a discount as the price appears to be negotiable, the giallorossi are however aware that the transfer fees in England are higher than in rest of the market.
