With both Milan and the National team, 2017 couldn’t have had a better start for Gerard Deulofeu. Now that his experience with Everton is in the past, here is what he had to say from the Spanish national team retreat: “I’m happy and proud to be here, the coach is showing his belief in my, just like Montella”.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, especially by Barcelona. The Spanish forward however remains concentrated on the present: “I’m happy at Milan. I can only hope to finish this season as best as I can, everything else will be evaluated in the future. When Milan came knocking at the door in January, I had zero doubts”.
On the transfer market rumours: “It’s nice to hear things, but what matters is the present. Thinking ahead wouldn’t be right. Had I not gone to Milan, right now I wouldn’t be here. Barcelona is a top club, but like I said, I’m not thinking about the future”.
