Daniele De Rossi was recently interviewed by "Rivista Undici," and discussed a variety of topics from his relationship with Totti to his past coaches: "In these sixteen years I have had the rare of luxury of seeing Totti as more than just an idol. Staying with him everyday makes it seem normal to be next to such a player who is far from normal. Coaches? I have had some coaches who could be considered among the top ten in the world: Spalletti and Conte. Also, Luis Enrique. Furthermore, I played against Guardiola, and if I could reside on any bench, I would choose his in order to learn. I also had one of my most exciting seasons with Ranieri. Conte shocked me: I love direct people who tell the truth. Tactically, he is a monster, a wild animal: it is not easy to be one of his players, but it is great to be one." De Rossi concluded by discussing Pirlo and Maldini: "Andrea is an example to be followed while Maldini always gave me the impression of being a leader because he really is one. I would like to be similar to him."
