After three consecutive matches without a loss, including a key draw at San Siro against his former team Inter, Walter Zenga continues to work towards avoiding relegation this season. The former Italian national team manager is now managining Crotone, he discussed how he improved as a coach in recent years in an interview with Corriere dello Sport:”Should I arrive at Sampdoria today it would probably be different. And I’m not talking about president Ferrero: when I arrived it was his first year as president. I’m talking about myself. I want to make a confession: after I was sacked there I went to Al-Shaab, I was sacked there too after five months for reasons that had nothing to do with results. From that time I worked a ton on myself to improve: the relationship with the club, with the president, with the fans, how I present myself in press conferences, being able to be credible with myself. I worked a lot on it”
