Crotone, De Canio declines meeting: the latest on coaching situation

After collecting just one point in their first six matches, Crotone is aware they need to turn the season around quickly. The away match against Cagliari will be decisive for manager Davide Nicola, the club will consider a change should they lose at the Sant'Elia. One of the potential replacements however has taken himself out of the running, Gigi De Canio wasn't convinced by Crotone's project so he decided not to show up for a scheduled meeting. The club owned by Vrenna will have to consider other options should they go ahead with the coaching change.
