Antonio Conte has been without a home since his dismissal from Chelsea before the start of this season. Two years prior to his Premier League adventure, Conte coached Italy's national team, including a Euro cycle ending in a quarterfinal exit to eventual champions Germany. Conte spoke to Sky Sport amid his return to Italy's training ground, returning to where he once left nearly in tears: "Coverciano was my home for two years and I remember it with much fondness and many feelings. We tried to transmit emotion and enthusiasm during that time. They were two great years, especially the month and a half at the Euros."

Conte also discussed the current Italy, and the failure to make the World Cup: “Mancini? He is the right man for Italy. He should secure qualification for the important tournaments. Italy once was and should forever be considered a top team. The exclusion from the World Cup was difficult to take, but one must not look at the past but at the future, to try to build something important to make sure this won't happen again"

The ex-bianconeri coach also commented on Juventus: "I am proud of the players I had and trained at my time at the club, I enjoyed sharing successes with them. Now, it is a different Juventus, there are different conditions and I am happy for them."

Finally, Conte touched on the subject of his future: "I don't feel the need to coach now. My plan is to wait until June. The problem now is that for a coach who is of my level it's better to wait rather than to jump on a train already in motion. Serie A is a great league and being in Italy is always attractive, I would like to come home, but I won't rule out a job abroad."
