The recent news on the Super League has dominated the football headlines, in a recent interview Rocco Commisso explained his position on the matter:"I left America to come to Italy because I like football, with the risk of relegation. In the United States the concept of a closed league was accepted by FIFA. Our values of meritocracy do not exist in America, a closed league is the worse thing we could introduce in America"

Commisso went on with his description:"In the United States the idea is not to lose money. For entrepreneurs it's a good thing, but I don't like how the league has been conceived. But we must first introduce a salary cap, then we must work on the commissions for agents, by inserting a fixed percentage on the price of the player"

Commisso didn't hold back when asked about Inter, Juventus and Milan's involvement in Super League:"I came here with the maximum respect for the rules and the Italian and European system. Seeing the system change so much after 2 years that ai invested so much is not acceptable to me, the fans and Fiorentina. Why didn't they talk to me since I'm one of the investors to have entered Italian football. Amongst partners you must have each other's back, on the pitch we can be enemies, we need to work together to advance Italian football"
