Chievo finalizes deal for Salvatore Esposito

It is now official: Salvatore Esposito is a new player for Chievo. The class of '00 midfielder, who was a protagonist last season with the Primavera, then with Ravenna in Group B of Serie C. He was also a key player for the U20 Nazionale in the recent World Cup. Now his new adventure in Serie B begins with the gialloblù. Below is the club's statement:

"A.C. Chievo Verona announces to have acquired on loan until 6/30/2020 with the right to option for or against the sporting presentations of Salvatore Esposito from SPAL. Esposito, born in Castellammare di Stabia on October 7, 2000, is a midfielder who came up in Inter's youth ranks. For the 2018/19 season, he made a definitive transfer to SPAL and went on loan to Ravenna in Serie C in January. He debuted with Ravenna on January 22, 2019 against Triestina: a notable debut because he also scored his first professional goal. At the end of the 2018/19 season, Esposito appeared in 14 matches and scored twice. The new gialloblù midfielder was also a key member of the Nazionale at the last U20 World Cup, as Paolo Nicolato's team finished in 4th place."
