A farewell already decided at the end of the Serie A match against Bologna has been followed up with an official statement from the club: Chievo Verona and Gian Piero Ventura have parted ways. The Gialloblù company announced the termination of the contract of the former coach of the Italian National team, which arrived exactly one year from the collapse with Sweden.
"A.C. Chievo Verona communicates the consensual resolution, that has occurred today, of the economic contract that linked the coach Gian Piero Ventura to Chievo Verona until 30/06/2020. At the same time, there will be the resolution of the economic contracts of assistant coach Salvatore Sullo and of the physical trainer Alessandro Innocenti."
To replace Ventura on the bench will now be Domenico Di Carlo: for him a six-month contract is ready with an important award linked to salvation.
