Maurizio Sarri’s departure from Chelsea ended Gianfranco Zola’s tenure at Chelsea. The Magic Box described his exit from the club in an interview with Sun Sport:”I found out late that I wasn’t continuing, by then the positions were filled on other teams. Working for a club like Chelsea was however a positive for my career, I was Sarri’s second in command but now my main ambition is to be a head coach. Chelsea is in my heart and I’m proud to have obtained so much with this club”
Zola described his future plans:”I’d like to stay in England, let’s see which doors open. Frank Lampard? I’m happy for him, it’s a great opportunity and I hope he does well. It won’t be easy”.
