Maurizio Sarri's appointment as Chelsea's head coach has been officially announced, and now the Italian is set to name his assistant coach. Luca Gotti will become the second in command at the club, on Sunday he should arrive in London to sign a contract. Gotti formerly served as assistant coach to Roberto Donadoni.
The situation has not changed regarding Gianfranco Zola as part of Sarri's Chelsea. The sides however must reconvene to reach agreement on the contracts. Zola will have a split role within the club, he will be an assistant to Sarri, and will also have duties managing the connection between the club and the squad.
