After a turbulent separation with Napoli, Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri hit the ground running in his first few months in the Premier League. The coach from Tuscany discussed many topics in an interview with Corriere dello Sport, starting from his settlement in the English league: "Sarriball? I like it. I've read about it even though I don't use social media. I see how people post some clips of the play with most passes and they label it as Sarriball. I like it, I've been here for three months and it wasn't really easy at the start. I came in late July, the players that played the World Cup came in August. After that we had to leave for the Australian pre-season tour. The Spanish guys in the team helped me, they speak the same football language as us. Now we are having fun. At Napoli it took a few weeks [to understand the mechanism of my football], but Serie A is different. When I came here I said to myself 'Maurizio, you've dreamt about getting here your whole life, try to be yourself'. The mechanism here worked right away, the good results drove us. Here in the Premier League everything is different. I came here to win something, but it could not happen right away. Returning to Chanpions League football would be an excellent result for a start. Being here is like a dream, I'm not thinking about returning to Italy. When I go inside Stamford Bridge I here the supporters chanting my name, it gives me the chills. They do that with people that has won trophies, what have I won so far? I couldn't believe it".
The coach also discussed his past club and one of his players Lorenzo Insigne: "I will love Napoli forever, I am a Napoli supporter. I know what they think about me, how they think and when they think. Always. Our love will be eternal. I loved their performance against Liverpool and I like to think that we tired the Reds down a few days earlier at Stamford Bridge. Scudetto? Juventus have no rivals. They could win the Champions League this year, they are the main candidates together with Manchester City. Insigne? He is the best Italian player. Now he is more confident in his abilities. Right behind him there are Bernardeschi - who can become a world class player - and Chiesa - a natural talent. Higuain? I miss him very much, he will always score goals. He IS goal, a goal animal, a machine. If he had satyed at Napoli one more year we could have won something. Anyway I'm happy with Giroud, who does a great job for the team, and with Morata, who has an innate talent and he will show it soon", concluded Sarri.
